A lightweight tourmaline ceramic curler that offers frizz-free shine and styling comfort — best for medium to long hair.

4.0 out of 5
The InfinitiPRO by Conair® 1″ Tourmaline Ceramic Curling Iron delivers affordable performance with a smooth barrel and easy digital controls. While it’s not the best option for very short hair or precision styling, it’s a great everyday curler that produces soft, frizz-free curls on medium to long hair — and its lightweight build makes it comfortable to use.
Who It’s For:
This curling iron is perfect for:
- Medium to long hair
- Those who want frizz-free curls with a gentler ceramic barrel
- Users who prefer a lightweight, easy-to-handle tool
- Everyday curlers who appreciate simple digital heat controls
It’s less suitable for:
Short hair or tight curls, as it lacks slim barrel options
Fine or damaged hair, due to its high starting temperature (285°F)
What Sets the InfinitiPRO Apart:
- Tourmaline ceramic barrel – Distributes heat evenly and reduces frizz
- No-slip barrel – Smooth, easy glide that grips hair without pulling
- Digital display and controls – 5 heat settings from 285°F to 400°F
- Cool-touch finger grip – Offers better control during styling
- Integrated safety stand + auto shut-off – Safety-focused design
- 5.5″ barrel length – Slightly longer than average, good for wrapping longer strands
That said, the plastic thumb rest is small, and hair can catch at the top screw — small issues that can impact comfort if you’re not careful.

We all like an affordable tool that is strong and effective. If you are on the hunt for a budget curling iron that can tame your strands with as few passes as possible, you’re definitely reading the right article! Infinitipro Tourmaline Ceramic Curling Iron is one of our favorite budget curling irons, especially for long strands. The reasons for that are many, firstly being its long barrel (5.5”), as well as its large width options(1.5”, 1.75”). These numbers allow the tool to cover all your hair in a single pass, no matter how long it is. This allows not only a faster session but also protects your strands from heat damage. It has a 400°F maximum temperature that also helps with the easy smoothening process. We’re not so sure about its minimum heat setting of 285°F, as it could be a bit lower for fine strands. But its tourmaline-infused ceramic material makes it gentler. Tourmaline also eliminates frizz which is an important aspect of hair tools. This tool doesn’t have the most durable material, but still performs great considering its price of only $26. This is a traditional spring iron with a holding clamp, keeping the tips of the hair attached to the barrel while styling. This allows more precision and a finer finish, as well as spiral-shaped curls rather than s-shaped. It does have a couple of small issues regarding its design, but generally small enough to not cause a problem.
If you’re seeking the best curling iron for long hair, rest assured, the InfinitiPRO by Conair Tourmaline Ceramic Curling Iron has you covered.
Below we share our experiences with “Infinitipro By Conair Tourmaline Ceramic Curling Iron”.
Shape
Traditional Spring Irons are the most commonly found shape amongst curling irons, and it’s generally a safer bet to go for one. This tool basically comes with a holding clamp that keeps your strands attached to the barrel while styling your strands. This means that one of your hands will be free while styling, which makes things easier. It also means that all of your hair will be exposed to the same amount of heat, from base to tip. This allows greater precision in the results. This tool is for you if you prefer more perfect-looking results, rather than casual. The curls that are created are spiraled and they have a finer finish than what you would get with a wand-shaped alternative. If you would prefer a more undone look, on the other hand, Infinitipro Tourmaline Ceramic Curling Wand is basically the equivalent of this tool which leaves out the holding clamp on purpose for more natural-looking results.
Size
When it comes to size, this tool is pretty impressive. It has 4 different barrel width options to choose from. The smallest is 1”, which is basically the default size in the market that every brand offers. It’s the most versatile one that fits almost all hair types and lengths and offers the largest range of different styles. The second option is the 1.25” one, which is still considered very versatile, but creates a bit larger locks and appeals to armpit length and longer strands. The 1.5” option is where we enter the territory of more specific needs. It creates loose beach waves and appeals to shoulder-length and longer hairstyles. The last option is 1.75”, and is an extraordinary number that is not very common to find in the market. It’s perfect if you have long hair, maybe mid-back length or longer. And need to style your hair in the most efficient way. This size can cover a very large area at one pass and the curls that it creates are very large and glorious.

If you have very short hair, maybe a bob cut or shorter, you may want to consider a narrower barrel. Babyliss Nano Titanium Spring Curling Iron is a great option that comes with a 0.75” barrel.
The barrel length of this tool is 5.5”, which also appeals immensely to longer hair types. With this size, you’ll be able to style your hair as fast as possible.

Heat and Variable Settings
This tool comes with 5 variable heat settings, which is not a very big number compared to other brands. The highest temperature of 400°F is quite satisfying if you have unruly strands that need to be tamed. But the minimum heat setting of 285°F could be much lower if your strands are fragile and you want to be safe from heat damage. There are many curling irons in the market that provide the gentlest styling experience. Drybar The Wrap Party is one of our favorites this season for fine hair, an alternative worth checking out.

Material and Performance
This tool has a tourmaline ceramic barrel that is definitely an upgrade from its pure ceramic alternatives. It contains the benefits of both materials. Ceramic is known to be a gentle heat provider and is the most beginner-friendly option in the market. It hates up slowly and evenly, protecting the strands from heat damage. But it’s not the fastest and if you have very thick strands, not the most effective either. Titanium is a great alternative that can recover its heat very fast, and if you have particularly unruly strands, we recommend aiming for this material instead. Babyliss Nano Titanium Extended Barrel Curling Iron is one of our favorites for thick hair this season, not only for its titanium barrel but also its 430°F maximum temperature.
Tourmaline also adds a great quality to this curling iron. This semi-precious stone has negative ions that eliminate frizz from the strands. This is especially important if you have frizzy strands.
When we look at the material quality of this tool, we can’t say that were impressed. While the material of this tool is not the most durable, its performance levels are pretty high. It’s not the fastest tool in the market, but it can cover a very large area in one go with its large barrel. In our opinion, its price vs performance is accurate.
Features
This tool has ionic technology, as well as a tourmaline barrel. These two combined make an extraordinary product for eliminating frizz. Frankly, it’s one of the most successful ones that we’ve come across at achieving the most frizz-free results.
It comes with a 60-minute auto shut-off which is the average time in the market. This feature makes this tool as fire-safe as possible.
One feature that is missing here is dual voltage. It only comes with a single voltage and may not work in some countries that you travel to. This is only a problem if you want to travel with your curling iron.
It doesn’t have an audible warning that lets you know when the tool is warm enough, but it has light indicators that stop blinking when the unit is ready to use.
Ergonomics
It’s a relatively lightweight tool with only 7.5 oz and most likely won’t cause you any arm fatigue while using it. But even though it’s light, we can’t say that it’s very travel-friendly because of its single voltage.

Its handle is average-sized at 1” and will fit most hands comfortably.
It has a 5 ft cord which is the shortest size on our list. This may not be an issue if your plug I next to your mirror but it’s something to consider otherwise.
It comes with an integrated counterrest to make sure to remain detached from the surface, which is extra protection from heat damage.
It comes with a digital display and temperature control. These are both very useful, especially if you’re a beginner home stylist.
It also as a quite large cool touch finger grip which makes it easier to handle and maneuver. Assessing its design, we can say that this tool is ergonomically designed.

Price & Warranty
As you can guess, $26 is a very affordable price for a curling iron. This is a budget tool that obviously can’t compare with its luxury alternatives in terms of material quality. But it really stands out with its compatibility with longer strands. It also can heat up sufficiently for thick hair. We think it has a fair value. It also comes with a 5-year limited warranty that compensates for its maybe not-so-durable material.
Competition
When it comes to competing with a very affordable curling iron, the alternative we think of first is a luxury tool with outstanding material quality. The first curling iron that comes to our mind is GHD Curve Classic Curl Curling Iron. It also appeals to longer as well as thicker strands but offers one of the most luxurious styling experiences in the market, obviously with its luxury price of $205.
Another highly recommended curling iron from Conair is InfinitiPRO Rose Gold Titanium. This one has the same temperature range as the tourmaline version but features a titanium barrel. Titanium heats faster and is more efficient on coarse hair.
